Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth of tourism to space. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the both the Biden and Trump administrations in space matters. Through that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' efforts. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter prior to joining CBS in 2015. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. The firm specialized on making documentary films for corporate clients including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
